Nitrogen Deficiency, Nitrogen Toxicity or normal flowering behavior in an Auto?

Unkle_JR

Lower leaves that are the largest & oldest are wilting & yellowing about 2 weeks into flowering. I started adding nutrients after 4 weeks in Ocean Forest soil. More details and pictures in my diary. Fast Bud #2, Week 6
Solved
Week 6

Fox farms OF soil can be quite hot, feeding after 4 weeks I think overloaded them with excess N and this is why you are seeing some of the leaves curl the tips downward into "the claw" a common effect of excess N in cannabis. Given that you are also growing autos they require less feed then a photoperiod normally. I like to use this link as a reference point for feeding them. https://www.autoflower.net/forums/threads/med-man-method-feeding-chart-ppm-ec.47856/ Fox farm also have very high feeding guidelines, you should use a TDS pen to measure EC/PPM as well to confirm your not overfeeding. Good Luck! === Seems I have a fake troll account trying to cause shit by emulating me. They even went as far as to copy my profile picture and response to there troll lol. Someone sure is but hurt. m"Q"use is not @m0use Q vs 0. Q is fake like Q-anon Sorry for their rude comments on your question. I have no idea who they are or why they are doing this. Thanks for everyone's help here. That link to the AFN post is particularly helpful: (feed/ flush/ feed/ flush) I think the ultimate problem here is my watering technique. I normally pour my water EXTREMELY SLOW and get little or no run off water. 3 quarts of water in a 3 gallon pot and no run off, hmmmm 🤔 . I think any extra stuff in my soil just wasn't flushing away and this led to the nitro problem. I did "faster" watering so I can actually get some run off and check the PH (5.8. Low but not "dangerously low"). That faster watering must have flushed something out. The next day I saw that nothing else has dried up (that big leaf in the pic looks exactly the same), nothing else as turned yellow and the tops of the plants are "praying" again! I'll continue with nutrients in a day or so, sticking to Bloom nutes and trying to keep the nitro a little lower. Thanks again everyone! (Except for the Q scammer. Seriously. Leave that kinda drama to FB)

Please click on the grower's name that is answering your question to see their profile. There are fake accounts being created to look EXACTLY like real accounts - but they're easily identified by doing this.

Hungry for phosphorous and potassium - add a P/K booster to your nutrient line up. The damaged leaves won't recover, but it should prevent the problem from getting too much worse.

Flip a coin, these two answers, one too much food, other expert not enough food. If it was over N it would be dark green. The low fan leaves don't need to be there anyway. No need for " emergency " flush either, just use half strength feed for a week. It's not world ending. ***disclaimer, multiple people are answering all questions as there is a contest called GOTM, Wish they wouldn't as a lot dont know WTF they talking about, plenty of examples on here to laugh at, even if it's some poor souls smoke, when a user is selected as the answer they get a point. Most people award the point before they even know the right answer or if it even worked. I know your " gang " use the old, but it's always could be 2 or 3 answers, it's the posters own fault not researching etc. Please note, in a vain attempt to look helpful whilst drawing more attention, im going to pretend you are all stupid and blame the site for me telling you how to slide into someones DMs like you're retarded. when you reply to anything on the questions part of Growdiaries website, no one will be notified of this. High Unkle_JR, When I zoom into the tips of your leaves I can see a small starting nutrient burn. And this together with the clawing from the leaves I know for sure that this is a Nitrogen deficiency due nutrient lockout caused by overfeeding with nitrogen. You need to stop giving the GROW nutrients for now because it contains top much Nitrogen! You need to flush out the nutrients with a good flush of your soil. For this flush just follow these steps: You can do this flushing by slowly pour water pH 6.2 onto the top of the soil, allowing it to drain freely from the bottom of the pot. Pour slowly, so the water doesn't overflow from the top of the pot. Use approximately four times the pot's volume in water to flush the soil. For example, use 1 gallon of water for a 1 quart pot. After the flushing you need to let the soil (almost) dry out completely. From there you can start giving water with pH 6.2 and nutrients but do not exceed EC 1.5 and stop giving the grow nutrients. She is looking beautiful just need less nitrogen and everything will be okay! Happy Growing! 😋

I think you're underfeeding at this point... they are used to nutrients, being grown in Ocean Forest soil ... I would up your Bloom and Grow to full strength but leave your Micro where it is... the Micro has an awful lot of nitrogen in it which is not going to be helpful and may even cause some problems the further you go into flower... it may cause a lockout so leave it be and even consider dropping it down if you see signs of a lockout (calcium deficiencies can be one problem). Other than that, I think everything looks pretty darn good... Good luck!
