Currently on 8 week of flowering and leaves started to turn yellow and some also died. 50% pistils turned amber but can't be sure if trichomes are clear or milky. Should i start to flush or wait?

I don't flush so I won't comment on that. However, when i look I only see clear trichs. Going off that alone Imho this plant has a little way to go. The pack on more weight towards the end and you really get that peak thc. You'll notice when they turn cloudy and then amber. There's a picture you can Google and it will show you what a mature trichs look like. I wish you the best and learn from others mistakes. When you think it's done wait two weeks. That's something I was told that seems to ring true sometimes. I'm on my phone and didn't get a real good look at the flower (it looks good). Definitely don't want those clear trichs though. When you check make sure you check the bud and not the leaf. Leaf trichs turn faster than the ones on the flower.

Thanks, i'm going to wait a couple of days to see if more leaves turn yellow and take a better look at the trichomes. Have read about the flush vs no-flush theories and was leaning more to flush because it is easier on the wallet.

anytime you take a shit, you should flush.. you can let the yellow mellow, if oyu are some sort of environmental activist. oh you mean for plants? a flush is something you do when a catastrophic problem is occuring in your rootzone. it has numerous negative effects on the plant and shouldn't be done unless there is a really good reason. what flushing absolutely does not do -- it does not change mineral content of flower. this is further shown as blind taste tests do not indicate any awareness of which bud is flushed and what is not flushed. ppl like to lie to themselves. it's a common occurence throughout history and daily life. but when it is a blind taste test, the resutls clearly show flushign doesn't do dick to the flower as it is smoked. should you wait? that depends on a lot of personal preference. can't see much and 2 pics of trichomes isn't enogh to assess. I think i see some long pistils, still, so i think you ahve more time than you expect. let it fully plump. what you can do is take off some colas at different points -- harvest bulk relative to what pple suggest as far as "more amber = more couchlock" type effect. But brain chemisty is not equal. so, you may find it impacts you differently or not. Anyway, take cola off early in harvst window, and then intermittently throughout.. if you don't want high amounts of amber, leave a couple colas on plant to continue ripening, but doesn't have to be the bulk of it. harvest multiple times and label each with % amber. learn what you prefer. And know, this process gets easier each time you do it. what seems foreign to your eye now becomes very familiar over time. guesstimating amber is just as much art as sciecne. use other visual cues like pistil coloration and calyx plumping. even density of colas is helpful to notice, but you don't want to do tat until you are 99% sure you want to harvest. i give a couple a gentle squeeze to make sure they won't shrink 2x as much while drying.

Trichomes seem to be transparent, but taking in consideration the fact that leaves are dying I would definitely start flushing.
