What the fuck do ants like about my cannabis soil

Should I go ahead and remove it from the flowering plants. Don't want any other plants looking like this

Looks like a heat issue. Do not let the canopy get over 84f, and make sure the leaves just barely jiggle from a oscillating fan. Yeah i wouldn't put anything but straight RO or RO with nutrients in your medium. If your soil is enriched the ants could be after a few things like crab meal etc.

Hello. Borax is deadly poison to ants. You can find it in the laundry isle. I've forgotten the exact recipe but Mr. Google will know.. You mix water, borax and sugar in a pot and heat it a bit. Put it in small trays/lids around the plants. Put some bread in the trays. The foraging ants will take the bread back to the nest and feed the queen with it. They will drink the liquid and take that back to the nest to feed the young and and pupating ants. Kill the queen, kill the hive. The ants should be gone in a week or so. Good Luck. Chuck.

Highly diluted vinegar is probably less of a problem as long as it doesn't come as a spray mist on the plants. But with a bit too much vinegar to lower the pH in the soil, I've also killed a plant before. What's in the ant killer? Maybe that was the killer. It would have been better to use lemon peels or cinnamon against ants.

Well, I once had ants in my grow, and ants actually help by feeding on mealybugs and other pests. We just have to control the number of ants so they don't become a pest themselves. Control the pests, water with nettle tea, diluted 10° hydrogen peroxide 4/1, and many others, but before that, I discovered the real problem.

I never had ants on the plant but try to drown them, save your orange, lemon, and grapefruit peels and scatter them around or use Cinnamon, Coffee grounds around the plant they hate that stuff, or well use your vacuum and suck them all Btw on the pic look like a light burn (fix the dli 30-40/ppfd 500-1000) 😎

Did you dilute the vinegar? The only time I have seen ants 🤬 with a plant is if the plant has a disease and it produces a byproduct the ants will feed on. I have had a pepper plant catch something (forget what it's called) and it produces a black sticky substance on the leaves and the ant s feed on that. So they are not necessarily eating the leaves but They're eating the thing on or in the leaves. obviously your leaves get caught up in the mess, don't know if there is a similar process with the roots. And again, this tidbit of information is not concerning cannabis but peppers, don't know of anything similarly happening with cannabis.

Fucking ants, hate em. Unfortunately I can't help you with this. Before my plants go to their Gorilla spot I put them in my garden for a week or so. Last time I must have put them near an ant nest and they was all over the plants like a plague. I didn't treat them and moved them to the gorilla spot and they was still teaming with them when I checked a week later. To be fair they didn't seem to do any damage to the plants and they made it through flower but I had to wash the buds because the odd ant had died on the buds.
