Germinating old seeds

Gifted some old beans from the 80s to 90s that were not stored properly. I've tried everything but surgery on them to germinate but no success. Only thing I haven't tried is gibberrelic acid. I really want to see what genetics I got if I can them to go. Anyone got suggestions?

Hello. I saw on Ed Rosenthal's site, what one of the big California's company head growers do. I remember that it is a very sterile procedure. And I think they say to soak the seeds in agave juice to reinstall the sugars and organic material and moisture that is missing in the old seeds. On his site check in the blog area, under the heading - How to professionally germinate cannabis seeds. Chuck.

Hi Buddy. I tried Ed's site and the sites blog is down. So I tried Google and I found it. Try "How to professionally germinate cannabis seeds" on google search and then click on Ed's site. It's an interesting article. Hope it works. Chuck.

Germinate them in glass water mixed with hydrogen peroxide Combine: 1 TBSP (15ml) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution (typical household H2O2) With 1/3 of a cup (80ml) of Potable Water. That’s it. They should germinate fingers crossed 🙏 Old seeds have damaged enzymes due to several factors, age, humdity ,temp

not a high probability, so soak 100 seeds or all of them.. 12-24 hours then sow. pray one pops. ph adjust the water is fine, but the seed doesn't require anything initially, if it does germinate. could try scoring a few shells, if you think it might be the hardness of the shell holding them back.. .but 30-40 years? i wouldn't expect a high rate of poorly stored seed.
