I didn't add it up.. but "they" usually say aroudn 300-500ppm is the sketchy area.. and over 500ppm is likely going to cause problems.
I have 300ppm hard water. I never had issues with it. The last 2 years i've used soft water, lol...
a "no-no" but it too has worked just fine. i wouldn't use soft water on a mother plant that is kept for a long period of time, but a 3-4 month grow cycle does not run into issues with soft water, and my water softenr is set to 27grains or some high level because the water here, as i said, is quite hard.
my tap water pH used to be 8.4. Now it's 7. That stuff can definitely change. Luckily, my nutes are ph-balanced to roughly 6, no matter what. good soilless/hydro nutrient products should ph-balance on their own. soil nutes are less likely to have that characteristic. Definitely ph-balance whatever you add to ~6 for soilless/hydro nutes or 6.5-6.8 for soil nutes
