Roots and flowering have absolutely no bearing on each other.......with (crappy) autos, flowering is controlled by genetics, nothing more, nothing less.

They seem to be triggered when the roots are under stress, but also seen autos stay in veg for like 8 weeks in a air-pot. so its not always true and depends on the strain a lot of the time. They say over feeding can trip them, excess heat or over/under watering and it all is affecting the roots. so IDK. It seems to suggest something root based but I don;t know how straight forward it is. Need a university to study it and try and get them to find a reason why. Till then, Best Of Luck!

I just grew some autos in 25L pots and two of them started flowering early no stretch and went heaps purple and the other one was a Monsta . Pretty sure autos just do wtf they want whenever they want but if you’re after larger yields get ‘em into 25L pots

I've grown a ton of autos, and there isn't any correlation between root growth and the transition to the flowering phase. Flowering is triggered by age (how does a micro autoflower flip if it never reaches the containers bottom?) You have more time with this plant for sure. The leaves aren't fading at all. Get a super cheap hand lens! It's the only way to accurately judge when to chop a plant
