Hey guys, quick health check please. I'm not sure whether I should start flushing or wait a bit longer. Also, she looks healthy to me, but I need a bit of reassurance; I've never reached this stage so I'm a bit lost. Photos in the last week of the diary :)

Looking good. Great photos as well. With regards to flushing, you have a bit more to wait. How to know when your plants are ready: 1. Pistils: Your pistils are all white when should turn orange and start curling in. Pistils can be a bit misleading so not the best method 2. Trichomes: Get yourself a Jeweller's Loupe (at least x30 magnification) and check the trichomes on your buds. The trichomes on your leaves are decent but not as great of an indicator. The trichomes should have turned milky white. Now it depends on your preference, most people wait until 20% of the trichomes have turned amber, this is a good middle ground. If you want your effect to be more leaning to the light headed sativa effect, harvest before this point. If you prefer a more couch lock, indica effect, go for a bit more. I wouldn't go for much more amber trichomes because those THC trichomes would have degraded and turned into CBN (which is why you have a more couch lock effect). With regards to the actual flush, I have always flushed 10 to 14 days ahead of planned harvest date but many opt out of it and say it's a myth. My flush is usually the same amount of water I was given her during the last days but without any nutrients. Good Luck with the rest of your grow and enjoy the yield.

Hi, I'd say your a bit away from harvest looking at your pistils. Your buds can swell some more yet. I wouldn't flush your grow, you possibly have 2-3 weeks left before harvest. Carry on feeding as normal and for the last week just use water with no nutes exactly like you had been doing when feeding. Your plant then should use up whatever nutrition is left in that last week.

Flushing is a myth and does nothing to improve the taste or looks of bud. Multiple studies done to confirmed this. If you want to just give water and no feeds end of life. sure go nuts its done anyway, but to give it so much water your flushing out the medium and depleting it of anything is not useful and only stresses the plant. If you relay on that stress to produce trichomes find better genetics. I grow with dry amendments and never water till their is runoff because its not how it works. every time I water its just water and once every 3 weeks or so I'll amend with more feed. If you using liquid nutrients just cut the strength by 1/4 and feed up until the last few days then just water no run off for last week of life. Its still using some of the nutrients up, just not nearly as much as before when in stretch and bloom bulking. Good Luck!
