Slow flower development?

Arcadium
Arcadiumstarted grow question 8 months ago
This years flowering is SO slow any ideas / suggestions? I noted pistils on July 10th, which I thought was early! I've grown this same seed 15' away in fabric pots 2 years ago, no issue. This is MUCH larger, too much heat? Closer to neighbors porch light that is occasionally on?

Seeds from the same pack will be different. It could be neighbors light. Showing pistils in early July is just a sign of sexual maturity- not necessarily that it is flowering. Keep that in mind. I’ve got a lot of experience indoor but only about 4 years outdoor and I just don’t invest much money or time into it cuz you never know what’s gonna happen. There’s so many more factors outdoors. A few grey sky days and you plants can flip.

Cannabis is extremely photosensitive and slow development could definitely be because of someone left the light on

I grew blueberry last year and it re-vegged. Looks like the same thing happened to you. Should kick into high gear next week and flower. But after re-vegging your odds of finishing on time aren't the greatest. What growing zone are you in? I'm in SK and flowering is tough this time of year. I had to build a tent to ensure darkness for at least 17 days into flower.

my neighbor had grow some local strain here once right into earth, street light turn on at night so plant grow higher than 3meters. mean that time it no sign of flowering at all (and they dont know how to deal with it and decide to cut it off)

Me está pasando lo mismo la luz de mis vecinos me hace revegetar mis plantas. Trata de fabricar un invernadero con material oscuro para obstruir la contaminación lumínica. Suerte

It will only switch into flower when getting around 12hrs of uninterrupted darkness. So the neighbours light could be playing a role in it, but I would think it would only be on some parts of the plant as it will still be dark on the half of the plant that's not getting blasted by their motion sensor flood lights at night. I have issue with ambient city night light, its not dark enough and so much street light floods into my deck. Best I can do is pin all my plants down and prevent them from growing taller then the light blocking side. The pistils showing is also it telling you its sexually mature and does not mean it is going into flower right away. Depending on where you are in the world check your night time length of sunset and sunrise, this will help you figure out if its getting enough darkness to Initiate bloom. A good rules of thumb for the darkness is this, : hold a standard type book about 12" from your face, if you can read the print on a random page then it is to much light. If you can't or have a really hard time reading it, it is ok. Good Luck!
