Or have you ever smoked a foxtailed bud? Do you think that foxtailing is bad?

I don't see any foxtailling on your plant, just big bud that are still blooming (I call it "overbudding"). ^^ You can usually limit over-flowering by lowering level of nutrients in your fertiliser programme. Foxtail is when the calyxes stack on top of each other like ears of wheat, instead of forming conical buds. It's a genetic mutation. Take a look at the pictures in this thread: https://www.thcfarmer.com/threads/foxtail.54898/

Yes actually I have, and it was with my outdoor grow this past summer! I grew three Ak47 auto flowers and out of them two foxtails and one grew normally! So I didn’t really care too much for this particular mutation “foxtail “ because it have a good amount of weight when it was done and dried not I impressed plus I got really really really TIRED OF SMOKING NOTHING CALYXES! I hope I spelled that correctly lol but it’s the little things that grow on either side of where the buds start growing and that’s what is the FOXTAIL LOOKS LIKE NOTHING BUT A HOLE LOT OF CALYXES! I wasn’t impressed with it at all and in the future I hope 🤞 it never happens to me and anyone of my grows because I might have to chop them down or make some bubble hash? Probably bubble hash well for sure I would just use it for making bubble hash out of it because it’s better than nothing !

Its visually less appealing then tight indca nugs but it does not affect the quality of cannabinoids. I have grown stuff that foxed tailed, its less dense and more airy, but still got me high. Also some breeders like the foxtail trait in their buds. Don't worry if your plant is fox tailing a bit. Lowering temps can help control it but other times its gonna do what its gonna do. Good Luck!

Foxtailing buds isn't a big deal. It's just unsightly. You know, like a chick with a beautiful face, but has lob sided boobs lol

There's nothing wrong quality wise with foxtail bud. It just doesn't carry the "bag appeal" of a dense nug. It will dry our faster, which can lead to harsh smoke, and it doesn't always grind up so well in a grinder. I generally throw airy stuff like that in with my trim for edibles.

Hello my friend, the last time I grew Wedding Cheesecake from Sensi and it was foxtailing like crazy. I harvested the plant when most of the trichomes were milky and max 5% amber overal on the plant. These buds are the sweetest and strongest buds that I ever have been growing. So in my experience it does not harm the quality of the product. Your buds are looking nice and juicy buddy! Enjoy smoking them all! 💚
