I had a budrot on a single bud and while trimming it out I found a green caterpillar inside. I'm guessing white butterfly or moth, I've seen them around outside. Is there a way to draw any others out? I'm just before harvest.THANKS

Cydalima perspectalis a.k.a the box tree moth. You use pheromones to trap the moth and pesticides for the caterpillars.

you should manipulate with rot as least as posible, cover, take off and dispose as far and safe as posible. dont be gredy, at least one healthy nod up and down around bud rot space has to go, you really can get yourself in health troubles. take your loses. would recomend wet trim for whats left, can bet you will find few more spots during process.

If you had bud rot then throw the whole plant away. It can cause serious health issues. The spores are in all of it. The caterpillars are the least of your worries. Sorry for your loss.
