Beginning of bud rot?

New grower here - is this bud rot? 78-80deg fahrenheit, 50-58 RH, 12 hours light, ~800-850 PPFD. Good circulation at this point in the tent too. Maybe I'm just worrying over nothing and this is part of the purple pheno and how it develops?

That is not bud rot. It is 1 of 2 things I personally have seen this before. 1st it is too close to light and the heat cooked it. Or the 2nd one is russet mites. Can barely see them under 100x magnification. Honestly I think it is the second one I mentioned.

Somehow I missed all of these great responses! Thank you all. This pheno has been stressed and picky/deficient since day one. The green pheno has been smooth sailing all in all from day one through now. Green pheno was super easy for this new grower. Purple one was more advanced for this new grower. Both plants are nearing harvest though so all is well. I bet with weaker genetics maybe the purple pheno would have died? I do think it was light burn because another bud site near that one experienced it really bad. So bad that I cut it because there was no way that that site would produce any nugs worth keeping. The bud site in question has recovered fully and has a beautiful (to me) nug there now. I do think the stress or something caused the plant to mature faster than the breeder stated. These are supposed to take around 55 days or so acc to Humboldt. Purple pheno might be ready now. Green pheno has maybe a week left? Thank you again to all your expert and experienced insights on this grow question of mine.

When the hair turns amber, it means that the buds are going to fatten up. This is the third stage of flowering, when the plants' need for PK is greatest.
