Photos Loosing quality after update

wish formatting of paragraphs work as this will be convuluted all mashed together. The file i looked at has it's resolution reduced from 2084 x 2700 to 1313 x 1700. Alos, the dpi went up from 72 to 96, both are 24bit depth. So, they are reducing reso but then increasing dpi which doens't make sense. the file is 1/3rd the size give or take. A good thing: it strips some meta data in the file that could be mildly identifying. the vertical and horizontalreso being 72 vs 96 is a bit weird and can't really be true, if the resolution is lower. If they were smart and want to save some space, color depth is a great way to go. You don't need billions of colors or high reso when most people are using tiny little phone screens. your eye can only see down to 1/10th of a mm on average from some specific distance to make a conclusion like that. once far enough away or if screen is small enough, you cant tell between 1080p and 4k, for example. they eyes simply cannot resolve the difference at some point.

I asked a question a day or two ago. I don't know about the photo quality but the video turned into a still image. (I referred to the video in the question so the question didn't make much sense) I couldn't add additional explanation. I wasn't able to edit the question. I wasn't able to delete the question. I can't reply to those who answered. I used the "feedback" form but suspect they're inundated with reports. Perhaps the new version was rolled out with insufficient testing. Or we're the testers. :)

Lot of errors and bugs they need to patch, does not look like anything was added in terms of stuff we see. Don't know what it did or why they did it. A change log would have been nice.

Agreed. This new Formated Update sucks I had GREEN HOUSE FEEDING listed as a diary when I checked mine. It was on the 1st seven when you check out your name. Clearly its more streamlined for smoother advertising not user friendly at all I can't even zoom in photo of the month. Now, its a simple press. And the site 1x zooms in. I think they got it wrong. Instead of an upgrade they did a downgrade

The whole site is worse then before. They should Just undo the changes or fix it. But it seems like it will in this state for months. Its no fun anymore to use it
