Dehu or DampRid?

What does everybody use to reduce the humidity in your growing environment? Trying to decide between a Mini Dehumidifier or those moisture absorbing packs. Circulation and exhaust fans just won’t cut it during the summer months when RH can get above 90% if I’m not minitoring.

8000 BTU window air conditioner, cut a perfect hole in tent, front end in a tent, back end out. This cools and dehumidifies a little as it does so. can also catch water created from evaporation, and run it through a filter for 0ppm water supply. Reducing temps also reduces the amount of moisture the air can hold. Keep n eye at night during flower, the plant will spit masses of water out the stomata at night.

Do you vent your exhaust outside? I recently started to and saw about a 20% reduction immediately in my tent. The damprid things are OK to stick in a micro-environment, like underneath a dense canopy, to help out a little but it's not going to mean much for the overall RH of your growspace, especially if well exhausted already.

I use a full sized room dehumidifer (16L per 24hrs) to bring the humidity down in the room where the tent is located. I find that I need to empty it 2-4 times daily. I recommend getting one that can do up to 20L per day. Also, use a small dehumidifer in the tent, it really does not remove much mositure, but does help to keep the tent semi-warm during lights off and move additional air around. Finally, an extraction fan pulls the hot humid air from inside the tent and replaces the air with the dehumidified from outside the tent. A couple of small fans circulate air inside the tent. **The mositure absorbing pack are not going to dehumidify any space of size with a plant, they are a waste of money. Tried them with my first grow and they really only removed a couple of 100mls of water in total from the tent. The big dehumidifer is as a point of reference removes 1-2L x 2-4 daily.

The first line against the is good air exchange. With large and powerdull extractors and intakes you are able to dispell hot humid air very quickley creating a constant cycle of fresh cool air coming in and the hot humid air going out. 2nd line of defense if the problem is persistant you can buy many dehumidifiers on the market many are small and cheap and will do a great job at grabbing moisture out the air these can be put on timers to not take all of it out youll haveto test whats best for you and the final one i can think of would be more air movement fans to try and dispell hot humid air quicker too :) you can also use training tecniques to limit the size of your plant and maximizing air flower look into training methods like mainlineing and Scrog net growing. There my best advice buddy best of luck :) need anymore help just hit up my dms :)
