I have a hydroponic set up using RDWC. I have 5 seeds that have just broken wool. The answers to all questions are not obvious to new players. Be kind! 😬 When I transfer the RockWool cubes into the clay pellets, should I peel back the wrapper on the rockwool cube?

Peeling it off matters if you are planting into a larger cube of rock wool. If you are planting it and covering it with hydroton, lava rock, then it doesn't matter either way it's gonna grow. If you have a 6 inch rock wool block and you are setting that down on a rock wool slab, then you'll want to prevent the roots from protruding out the sides so in that case it does matter and the wrapper stays on. It also helps to prevent algae from getting all over the place.

I also peel it off as it gives more area for roots to come out of the sides.

In all the years of using rock wool I have always peeled it off. It just seemed to work better for me. I hope this helps. And good luck with the grow my friend.

I never leave anything on it. Just the rockwool. The less stressful it is on the young plant the better.

It doesn't matter honestly. I always did, but it doesn't matter. Feel free to DM me any questions you have on RDWC, thats my jam!
