yeah your plant is far behind. I see that you listed a 1200W lamp for the diary the plant is in. I'm not sure if you bought one of those Ali-Xpress lamps or if its an error, but the point here is that your plant is starving "light" You can download multiple app to your phone to check PPFD & DLI, without other equipment the apps are not exact but can be used as a pointer... On my most recent diary i have done some tests on my lamps and from that found out the amount of hours the light needs to be turned on for te satisfy the plants needs.. good luck with the developmentally disabled 👽 and your future diaries

Is that an auto strain? I think I can see first pistils on last photos in your diary. I would increase temperature.

Sometimes it's frustrating when a plant doesn't grow like you expect. It could be a genetic thing or maybe just a bad seed. I've had my fair share of those. But hey, don't beat yourself up about it. You're doing all the right things with the organic nutrients and the light cycle. Sometimes plants just have a mind of their own. Hang tight, keep an eye on her, and see how she develops. She might surprise you yet. And if not, well, it's all part of the learning experience, right? Keep the faith, and happy growing! 🌿🔥

It's not so much you. Autoflowers do horrible in soil compared to grow in coco or dwc.

Grey wolf did point out something I was going to mention but left it out. The “stretching” that is caused by the blue/red LEDs. Dr Bruce Bugbee did an excellent study in his lab and found that plants grown with just 25% blue light were much taller than that of even 15% or 10% blue light. The blue wavelength promotes upwards growth whereas red LEDs promote short and stocky growth. That is why most Grow LED manufactures are ditching blue and putting in far red.

from the looks of the plant you still need to lower the light for maximum intensity purple leds cause the legginess and lack of branching but you can combat that a little by topping the plant to create those extra branches. she looks like she may be a sativa dominant strain and may stretch a lot come flowering time . between now and then concentrate on the things I mentioned above Best of luck Mate

Short answer: Yes it is small for week 5. Long answer: There a so many variables to consider why a plant may not be performing by now. First is plant genetics. If you do not have solid genetics to begin with then you’re fighting an uphill battle from day 1. Quality genetics from a reputable source is the best start. Northern lights should be a decent strain, I am also running a Polar Express Auto in my tent right now and it’s Northen Lights crossed with Cali Kush. You can check my grow diary out to see the difference in my week 4 vs your week 5 (it’s the plant in the front right of my grow tent picture) Second is environment. These plants really like a steady environment with temps ranging from 70-85 and humidity from 40-60%. There is a chart that you should look up called VPD. You will find the perfect combination of temp and humidity on that chart. You can find what temp your room is then the corresponding humidity the room should be for the absolute best environment for the plant to thrive. Third is light. A quality light that is designed for growing plants is best, but for the veg stage it’s really not a must because even a bunch of CFLs can grow a plant just fine in veg. It really comes down to when you flower that the light is critical to final product. The amount of photons hitting the plants surface is important and you want to be around 350-450 PPFD in veg. You can download a PPFD app on your phone to test. If you are not getting these numbers with your light then undoubtably the problem was your light. On a side note about light, the industry is leaning away heavily from the Blue/Red only light. Lastly is husbandry. You are keeping a live plant so you need to provide it with everything it needs to grow. Watering correctly when the soil is beginning to dry out rather than when the soil is still wet. More often than not until I get into middle flower, my plants only need watered every 3-4 days. When you water, ALWAYS water enough to where you get roughly 20% of the water coming out of the bottom of the pot. This will help keep everything stable in your soil. pH of your nutrient solution is critical as these plants only uptake nutrients in certain pH ranges. Lastly, don’t overfeed your plant, it’s much easier to fix under feed than over feed. I hope this helps and good luck on your plant.

Hi mate, I'm sorry to say yes she's underperforming at all.. It can depends from multiple factors as lights, nutriens, enverinement and even genetics (some plants are genetically poor). In your case my guess would be lights and env, but it can be every of the causes indicated before. My advice here is just throw all away and restart again, also because, even if you go to complete the growing cycle, your final result will be poor and you will get low quality weed. For you next grow choose a certified good quality seed, check the environment set up and the lights and have a good luck ! 💪💪💪

light is too high buddy and the environment must be off as yeah your right a plant should be a lot larger than this by week 5 but hey its not your fault as growers we all use what we can afford so just look up your light distance heights and blurple light is a good spectrum so it shouldn't be that though most growers prefer white light now. or full spectrum 3.2k or 5k its up to your budget :) best of luck buddy
