If your plants are burning alot of water to deal with intensity, it can be easy to over water.
Thing about fabric pots is they are great until a canopy of leaves form and put a stop to a large part of the evaporation of the medium. Water has a habit of sitting at bottom of pot.
If the plant doesn't uptake it or evaporate before you add more water, it's prime breeding ground for anaerobic bacteria.
