Give them a week to get established then re-assess the situation. Newly sprouted seeds often start a bit funny then grow just fine once they start growing properly. 2-4 days is hardly giving them a real chance as yet. Otherwise they look fine. Congratulations for starting them in decent sized pots and directly in soil..........just as it should be! Don't worry about all the fear of not enough perlite/coco coir, 3-5% is plenty in good soil mixes and is not as essential for photoperiod plants in my experience. Water on the plants outdoors is fine.........what do people think happens when it rains?? Another thing, avoid defoliation at all costs, especially on young plants. All of the plants energy to grow and thrive is made in/by the leaves. Less leaves = less energy being made = less potential growth.

Yes row 3. There is mutations i can see. If them 2 move out of the seedling stage near r close the others then keep em Some that I've had like this struggle through the 1st 10-14 days r far behind if you've seeds 2 replace them if growth is badly hammered then id redo Also. Your plants are young. They need o2 as much as water. Your blocking the stomata vents wit leaving huge droplets on them . Seedlings just need o2 and good R

The seedlings look fine for the moment. They will likely suffer from over watering soon. It is way too wet for them from the picture. Deformed seedlings is usually the substrate is too fertile or hot. This caused deformed seedlings. Back to the overwatering. You need at least 30 percent of your soil should be course perlite. Roots like air as much as water and nutrition. When they don't have it they drown or overwatering.

I am a newbie like you, even newbier :-) Just sharing my thoughts with you. I looked at both of your diaries. What would I have done differently: - I would use coco coir instead of soil - impossible to overwater, easy to control nutrients - if I used soil I would add perlite for roots to breathe - I wouldn't germinate directly in soil, but it's just my preference - I would never ever intentionally pour water on the plant, especially so small as yours, especially at the nodes - plant needs to breath as well - I wouldn't torture or rip off leaves from a tiny 4 moths old plant as yours in the first diary when it already started showing pistils... About deformed seedlings... could be something in the soil... could be something else... I cannot say

Be aware to much water on the soil. They are still in plantula phase and I see a very large amount of water. Be ware of charging the system of water that way.
