Kronenanswered grow question 7 months ago It's a personal preference. I like to defoliate in small doses to not stress the plant too much. I also have the majority of it complete before flipping to flower. I also only defoliate to expose bud sites and keep the rest for photosynthesis. I like to allow the left-over leaves to be reservoirs of nutrients that leech into the flower during flowering. Some people like to stripe them bare, and it works for them. I'm an organic grower so I don't use fertilizers. I like to let the plant do its natural order of things. So in my grow style its critical to keep a lot of leaves.
