When do you adjust ph in feeding solutions?

After adding nutrients where do you usually want ph? I tend to ph my water between 6.5-7.0 in soil. If after adding nutrients and my ph is say 5.5 should I worry about adjusting? Is it good to sometimes water at different phs? I tend to use different nutrients

after you add nutes.. because otherwise you could cause yet another shift in pH. 5.5 is a bit too low, especially for soil. You'll start to lockout Ca around there, so best to stay above that. 6.5-6.8 is good for soil nutes. If you use soilless/hydro nutes (100% plant avaialble 100% dossolvable), then you'll want to be aroudn 6.0 +/- 0.2. It's good to give a little room for error than try to hit "5.5" or wahtever target is in someone' head. A tenth of a pH or 2 difference will be nearly immeasurable in effect for any non-commercial scale grow.
