Hermie?

looks like a calyx to me. a pollen sac opens up and what looks to be 5-6 bananas inside. They'll turn yellow, but intially may be green (the "bananas"). if you see 2 white hairs popping out of a pod, that's female. In this case the preflowers are "older" than any other calyxes on the plant, so the "white" pistil has died and turned rusty/orange. That's normal progression.
