Why my plant has modest amount of stigmas (white hairs)?

I look at pictures in diaries of other growers and I see buds looking like fluffy dandelions, but my plant looks like someone pulled off half of the stigmas. What am I doing wrong? First picture - week 12 Second picture - week 17

Growing from seed can be a bit of a lottery, in this case I think you got a booby prize of a seed with very poor genetics....but that's life. For your first grow you are doing really well and think how much you learned and how much better the next grow will be!

It looks a little dark green to me. May be off base, but if it's a little nitrogen toxic, gonna get small harsh buds. Too much nitrogen, can't take potassium correctly. But probably is genetics like the others have already said.

if it is healthy and getting 35-40 DLI, it's simply genetics. If it's getting 35-40DLI and healthy, that means it's growing well. If it were underfed and getting that much light it would look stressed with overtly visible deficiency symptoms. intensity of light willd dictate yield relative to genetics. Some are more robust than aothers and there's no magic bullet out there that causes it as far as soemthign you can buy and give to your plant. Quality and morphology is mostly about the genetics. You'll never polish a low-thc turd. it's simply a low-thc turd. (or whatever characteristic you are focused on at the moment -- and not related to this particular plant, just a generalization of causality)

in most cases if plant is healthy , its genetics. not all plants grow huge colas, not all seed is set to be a monster. you can feed heavily and push plant ....

Might be the strain. both pics look like they are the beginning of flower and not that far apart. But some seeds just don't bulk up and stay skinny. Their is one strain that is known for this. dr.greenspoon or something. Its got wispy elongated growth and small buds real foxtaily. https://www.barneysfarm.com/dr-grinspoon-5# Found the link after writing this. The Diary/Journal your referencing is this yes?? growdiaries.com/diaries/200373-fast-buds-gorilla-cookies-auto-grow-journal-by-fuzzysnout Looks like they are also overfed a bit, Autos can be a bit stupid and do whatever the fuck they want. I see you lowered your lighting period down to 14 from 18 and I think that was smart. I almost would just give them 12/12 at this point and see if it causes them to bulk up. if not, chop and be done with it. I doubt the 12/12 will do anything but you should see something in 2 weeks. This could be made into edibles but smoking it and trimming it up will be a pain in the ass I feel. Good Luck!

Fuzzysnout, Hope an experienced coco grower can review your grow and assist with a diagnosis, I wish you well. I do not think it is genetics or a slow to flower plant, which can happen. I would review your light height and ensure the dimmer % is set to manufacture recommendion for flower. Again, I only have two grows so take this with a grain of salt.... I think she may of had too much nitrogen in early flower/flower with no flushing in between veg, preflower, and flower. With the Tripart series in coco it is important to flush between veg/flower if feeding heavy as the nitrogen can hang around in the coco.
