Looks like it needs more N .. even the smaller plant, too. heat doesn't cause a plant to pale from the bottom up. It may not be optimal to be that hot. If VPD is higher that can often require a down shift in fertilizer concentration is transpiration is spiking = increaste rate of water intake. So you need a slightly lower overall concnetration in your fertilizer/substrate when that occurs. If anything it would have helped avoid an N-deficiency. after it cools you may find you need another few percent N on top of that, but observe and react of course. vpd does matter with this stuff. N availability improves with a higher pH, so that's not likely the cause either. you do want to stay below 7 in soil. 6.5-6.8 is a good range to stick to. 7.0 shouldn't cause any problems either, but you'll get more vigorous growth with a slightly acidic substrate.

Could be heat, I’m leaning toward nitrogen. The plant takes what it needs from the lower leaves. Does not look like a big problem. Maybe feed them a little bit more

Your soil looks dry, did she maybe dry out on that temps? She looks like she needs atleast a liter per day, especially at that temps. If you water less, higher the amount. She looks ready for runoff watering, so just water till some is coming out the pot. That also flushes out excessive nutrients frequently. Good luck, they look healthy overall and i wouldnt care so much, if the top is looking fine.👌

Sounds like stress.Keep comparing your picture to your plant.

It looks like your new growth is doing OK and it’s your old growth that is dying. As you mentioned, you had a heat wave which probably stressed out some of those lower leaves and they died. Try and get ph back to 6.5.
