and yet another update/fix/with more broken things: - following list disapeared - can't open the left menu - link to the faq, contact form and all disapeared ...

that's not only GD didn't heard of the massive network breakdown worldwide today after an update :)

GD is what it is. It’s like a red headed step child. It’s annoying as all hell but you still have to love it. It is what it is.

i keep a little spreadsheet that has the dates and number of days (total and bloom) with a notes section. Even a column i can mark when i irrigated. Saved a template of it and re-use it for each grow. Can easily keep pictures in folders named for each week etc... I've got a 'digital clipboard' archived for all but 1 or 2 grows i've ever done. I'm not a picture guy, so not many of those but some are archived just as a reminder of development and different things that are possible to see while growing weed. Never have to worry about the website working or shutting down if it's on your own pc/laptop/phone. lots of grow sites have grow-journal forums but it's not cookie cutter like GD. it's never showed exact dates, so put them in the comments section of weekly diary post.

lol we are all looking for an alternative. This site is bad. and they have no direct competition so there is no effort put into making it better, Think of it from their perspective, why so better when they are the only option. lol. Even when they try to do better, its a joke. still have issues from the Jan 24' rollout they did. There are apps that help track grows like "Grow With Jane" and other sites you can use to document the grows but they are not as integrated and networked like GrowDiaries. I have seen grows documented on reddit or THCfarmer or RollItUp but again they are mostly forms and not geared towards the grow exclusivity. In the end they work fine, but so does a notepad and pen. I have heard rumours and whispers that something is in the making. The reason GD is popular is because of the contests and prizes and all the information for a lot of brands all in one place. Remove the contests and prizes and the site would not be a hotbed for trolls and wankers alike. So in short, unless someone with a lot of money comes along and creates something else, its all we got. Can use some of the other forms but they are not the same and don't have the network/exposure that this site does. Hopefully GD will get their fucking shit together and save itself from drowning in its own pool of shit but I doubt it.It likes treading water and just barley function. SOL
