Calmag deficiency? Correct it or let it be?

According to the feedback to my last question, I still have 2-3 weeks to harvest, but the fan leaves are turning yellow quickly. Is it calmag deficiency? Should I do something about it in this phase? The second plant is not experiencing that. Tap water has Cal 94mg/l, Mag 21mg/l.

Hey, I checked out your diary, you're giving too little BioBizz Grow compared to Bloom and Heaven. You should be at least at 3ml/l now. Later, feel free to go up to 4ml/l. If you increase the amount, it should improve. Right now, the deficiency is definitely very slight; your plant has cannibalized some less important lower leaves to keep the upper flowers healthy. You're missing the basics, either N-P or K; saying which one is missing is more guessing than knowing. Your plant needs a lot of P-K during flowering, but at the beginning of flowering, it also needs a lot of N since that's when the growth spurt happens, which could also be coming from that. Definitely no Cal-Mag though. Also, I checked your watering intervals. A little note on that: You can definitely give more water at once, until at least 10% runs out, and do it less often. This way, you ensure that the whole pot really gets water and not just one corner dying off because nothing runs there. You can't really overwater with a single watering because the roots fill the whole pot and nothing will get stuck anywhere; the plant is too big for that now, it just drinks it all up. And anything that's too much just runs through the pot. Watering too often, like two days in a row, can affect it since the roots will have a harder time getting air and can drown if new water keeps flowing from the top. With 20L pots and your plant size, you could probably give 4L at once. Hope that's understandable; if you have any questions, feel free to send a PM, you can do that at the bottom right. Good luck, and don't worry, overall your plants are very healthy! 👌

Hello, There's nothing to do, and there's no deficiency either. With maturity, the needs are different. The plant no longer needs those leaves for its structure; it focuses its development on the flowers and sugar leaves. This is the beginning of senescence. You can remove them gradually as they turn yellow. M.

And yes, you should do something about it, but don't overreact. If it has progressed slowly, that requires a small adjustment... faster = bigger adjustment. Up the N proportionof fertilzer while minimizing impact on other nutes as best you can. Simple paling will turn green again, but any necrotic damage will not heal. Look for a change in the trend, not necessarily overnight fix... if it stops getting worse you know you did the right thing. if it reverses, same thing. But, make sure to keep an eye on it so that you don't go too far the other way. There is a goldielocks zone for each nutrient. Interrelationships (mulder's chart) and pH can impact what that exactly is at any one moment of time and why it may be different from one grower to the next. if you want more guaranteed consistency, go soilless/hydro.

Those aren't calcium nor magnesium deficiency symptoms. The yellowing from bottom up is probably an N-deficiency. This is an image-only link from a duckduckgo search: https://420life.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/Marijuana-Leaf-Deficiency-Chart-scaled.jpg that's a high reso so you can zoom in and keep details clear. Use this to identify visible symptoms. recognize that some start at bottom and some start at the top and that is a key different in order to diagnose things. Also, notice there are many overlapping symptoms. Diagnosis through visual symptoms alone is difficult and rife with false positives.

Hello Leimmann, You can provide a bit more bloom and top max, you are giving 2 ml now, this is just not enough, so up this amount to 3 ml for both nutrients. Your plant is hungry for P, K and Calcium during the last weeks flowering. I personally would add a Cal-Mag booster, not because the plant shows a deficiency now but because Calcium is really important to create dense nuggs. Next to these small adjustments your plants look great buddy! Happy Growing!

More like 4-5 weeks to go! Your plant is hungry for potassium...........add a P/K booster to your fertilizer line up or increase the dosage if already using one. It is not a cal/mag issue. When there are 98-99% brown pistils/hairs, you will be entering the harvest zone.

What's good homie? 😎 It does indeed look like you're at least 3 weeks from harvest. Leaves that start yellowing from the bottom up typically indicates a nitrogen deficiency. From the pictures provided, I can only see one spot that could be due to a calmag deficiency, but its too early to tell. Its natural for cannabis to start its "fade" during the last few weeks of flower, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you're really concerned about it, just give it slightly more N and calmag. Don't feed her an excessive amount of N though as it will degrade the quality of flower. Your plants like nice friend 👌. Good luck with harvest in a few weeks.
