Just wondering if such compact growth is normal with a DE globe, used to having growth a lot higher by this point, have had the ballast turned down to 60%, until this week (read week 4 comment for details). All previous grows I have used a mixture of single ended HPS and MH

with that bulb you need roughly 50w/sq foot in flower 12/12 schedule if i recall... so you need 2/3rds of that if running 18hours in vege... if you haven't been 'near' that estimate, even easier to eliminate or blame the light forthe cause. if it was picked out to fit the area of coverage for a 12 hours of operation, then you need 66% of that for 18hours of operation. Read up on daily light integral. it's teh proper way to measure this stuff... not watts.

if the nodes are too tight, give less light and it should stretch more -- in a healthy way. The older internodes will stretch slightly, but mostly you'll see this on new growth. the old stuff will still be too tight. if this is the case and they've been burdened with too much light for along period, it may take a week or more to get out of that funk. if light is causing what you see, it won't stretch until you give less light.

Hello Ferelite, 2 reasons, genetics & a really strong grow light. They will stretch during pre-flowering but if you like them to stretch more at the beginning then you need to make more distance between your light and the plants. Happy Growing Buddy!

Hey mate, The dwarfing pretty hard, i would higher the distance to the light or lower its % more. Just too much light for them right now. Lowering the % is better for your energybill. Happy Growing mate👌
