ignore leaves. Trichoems on calyxes are your focus. trichomes are the primary rail. Use other visible characteristics as secondary guides. Also, bud density, but that will vary by seed, too. If new to this, consider a staggered harvest -- still take the bulk when you want to, but take a couple nugs early and leave a coupl nugs to ripen a bit longer... find what you prefer.. Do take notes because it's easy to forget what percent-amber you used for each and which you prefer when it might be 4+ months before you see it again. Easy to jumble up numbers.

Hi there, It's true that as long as you continue to provide nutrients, new pistils will keep emerging. This is a common occurrence in cannabis plants, especially in autoflowering strains like Royal Dwarf. The ongoing development of new pistils can sometimes make it challenging to determine the perfect harvest time. Key Points to Consider: Trichomes Over Pistils: While pistil color is a good indicator, trichomes are more reliable for judging the maturity of the buds. Focus on the state of the trichomes (cloudy, clear, or amber) rather than waiting for all pistils to darken. Nutrient Influence: Continuous feeding can promote new growth and the appearance of new pistils, which might give the impression that the plant isn't ready for harvest yet. However, the maturation of existing trichomes is a better indicator of readiness. Balanced Approach: It's often a good practice to look for a mix of cloudy and amber trichomes for a balanced high. Amber trichomes provide a more sedative effect, while cloudy trichomes indicate peak THC levels. Since you are seeing amber trichomes, your plant is definitely in the late stages of flowering. If you want a more balanced effect, you might want to wait until there are more cloudy trichomes, but avoid waiting too long as the quality might start to degrade. Conclusion: If your trichomes are mostly cloudy with some amber, you are in a good position to harvest. The presence of some new pistils is natural and shouldn't deter you from harvesting when the majority of trichomes indicate readiness. Good luck with your harvest!
