I turned it to 12/12 and the light is off during the day and on at night. Which one is best during the flowering period? Off at night, on during the day, off during the day and on at night?

I’m in socal where I have hot dry days (90° ) and cool humid nights (65°).
I grow in a tent in the garage - so I prefer to have lights on at night so my high temperature is mitigated to 75,. If I were to run lights on during the day, my high temperature would be well over 90° in the tent, that’s not good.
I use the same scheme in the winter as well, The nights are too cool so I run lights to warm up . The days are perfect 70° so I have lights off during the day.
So think of your highs and lows and how your light will help you achieve a constant good environment in your grow room.

Does not matter, the plants will not be able to tell the difference, but if your day temps are high, having the lights on during the night makes sense.

Todzilla makes great points. Also at night the electricity companies charge less for electricity during those hours. So you can save a bit of coin.

Trichomes don’t matureI’m flushing slowly, has been almost two week now. Just water with PH between 6.5 and 6.8. The plant seems ready, pistils are brown for 70%, yellow leaves are dropping off, but I don’t get why trichomes are still transparent, they aged slowly compared to the rest. Is it normal?

Different Phenotypes?2 plants from the same seed type purchased together. They look really different. I thought the one with the swollen calyxes was hermed, but research said otherwise. But one has trichomes and decent smell while the other has faint smell and no trichomes to speak of. Thoughts?

Main versus secondary maturingThis secondary lower buds seem to be maturing faster than the main colas. The pistils are turning dark faster on the lower than the upper. Not by much, but it's noticeable. Maybe a week or so? BUT, should I take the secondary buds first and leave the main colas to mature more?

These have been grown in 91 degree heat for their entire time growing. I can't change that the heat killed off some trichomes. But what is your opinion on the doneness of the trichomes that are there? If the pics are not clear enough I can use my real camera versus my phone. THX
