Could be inevitable effects of senescence - some show it more than others. or, maybe it's a nute imbalance. you'd have to rule the possibilities out with greater information on how you fertilizer etc etc.
if the paling started at bottom of plant and crept upward, that's N-def, for example.
More than one possiblity and not enough info given. if in soilless/hydro context it's a much easier thing to diagnose - can easilay track how much you are providing over time and make a much more educated guess baed on what you see. If in soil, there's more guessing, but if the products you use are consistent, can avoid this pre-emtpively in future, even so.
try one thing. see how it goes. try a different thing next time.. if you throw everything at it you'll never know what fixed it and more likely make it worse.
Great thing about a slowly progressing problem is that it takes a small adjustment and allows you to be patient. Don't worry if you can't fix it this time, just be systematic about it so you can fix it, eventually.
In my experience, plants want the same stuff. esoteric formulas are the cause of why people perceive this plant to be picky or difficult to feed.
