Hey fellow growmies, i noticed brown bract/calyxes on one of my plants. (week 12, auto, 20 % amber) Iwasnt't worried until I found them inside of some buds while checking for budrot. Should I be concernend (cut the buds), or is this just the circle of the plant life or genetics?

It is indeed mostly the age or under watering. The calyxes become necrotic as you see and are a breeding station for budrot. I would always cut everything dead in late flower: stems and dead calyxes to prevent bud rot. Necrotic buds don’t necessarily mean it’s rotting but a necrotic bud ain’t far from getting rot, obv dead material can’t protect itself from mild etc

Oh and just necrotic material is dead dry. Mold is mushy and smells disgusting
