don't use tents or cardboard boxes. no fans directly blowing on the buds. circulation 'in the room' is enough, and you don't need to feel a breeze across the buds.
control the temps as best you can - cooler the better in your context. Keep RH below 65%. If running a humidifier keep it around 60% give or take. Dark is best. light breaks down THCa faster than anything else, given common sense context... don't put the weed in the oven etc... If you smoke it within 3-4 months, you probably can't perceive a difference, but 1-1.5 years out? the longer you store it the more important to be anal about it. dark in a vacuum sealed bag might be best for long-term. Fridges/freezers have wildly changing RH%s, which makes them a bit iffy to use, but i assume if it is vacuum-sealed, should be okay?
when it feels dry, wait another 12-24 hours to put into a container - preferable one with some boveda 2-way RH packs - 58% or 62% - to control what remaining moisture gasses off. if they are in any way moist or 'soft' to the touch on the outside, remove from container as they need more drying. So, check them after 4 or 5 hours... make sure they don't 'sweat' too much or you'll just grow some mold or something funky otherwise with your weed.
