Is there a recommendation for a magnifying glass or microscope for trichome monitoring ?

30x or better. Glass lense, not plastic. read the comments if you buy online. The claims about magnification are not always accurate, and you'll find a marijuana grower in the comments complaining, lol. as far as nice pictures and macro shots, get a table-top one. this requires cutting things off your plant to take a good picture. Unless you have some mounting aparatus for your scope in your tent, you'll never hold it steady enough relative to the magnification used. High resolution options for the scope, of course... the simple currency checkers / jeweler's loupes are usually plenty good enough to look at your trichomes as far as guaging harvest time.

All those lenses didnt convince me. Every cheap ass Microscope will do tho.

I’ve tried a few different micros including clip on iPhone lenses, straight up magnifying glasses (60x), and digital solutions. All were done cheap with like results. I was going to get one that RQS sells for + but found the same unbranded microscope on Alixpress for . Wow! Huge difference. Easy to use, great image quality and way better for tricome checking. Just a small pocket microscope that can do 30x to 60x will be just fine. I just hold it up to my buds until I see how tricromes look. It can get pretty shaky and a bit difficult to get in focus but it works well once you get used to it. It doesn’t have to be overly expensive either. I think mine was 15-20 dollars Canadian on Amazon. I have a little Carson pocket microscope. A jewellers loupe would be better than a standard magnifying glass though if that’s the route you end up taking.
