Hey everyone I saw some spider mite attack on some of leaves but not much and no web at all. I don't want to spray anything in week 5 of flowering. The temperature dropping and humidity goes up next week. Do i need to or can i do something or just let them by their own?

Hey, They can get out of hand really quick, but you can keep them in check with some predatory mites. Bugs will be stuck in the trichomes either way, so I would rather have a mix of predatory and spider mites stuck to the flower and no more spidermites around than only have spidermites stuck and still have the plant full of them. They do try to avoid them, because they get stuck and die, so isn't a huge problem. Some ladybugs will eat spidermites, but that is not the common species' main diet. Minute pirate bugs are great spidermite killers if you can get hold of them and they don't get stuck in the flower much. While you are waiting, I would scout and squash as many as you can to keep the population under control. One or 2 can turn into 100 or 200 fast, so for every one you kill now, it's 100 less tomorrow. Not exactly, but you get the point. Good Luck

predator bugs about all you can do in flower. pyrethrines supposedly breakdown very fast, but that doesn't mean 1% remaining is okay... it may not be safe until .000001% etc... can't assume these thresholds. pyrethrines kill on contact only.

If you let them be on their own chances are your plants will be a hot mess. I've done this before "left them" and it does not end well. I will spray things on the leaves to help curb their numbers if its early flower. But given temps are dropping and RH going up you will be entering bud rot territory soon. Can try predatory mites, but they might get stuck in the trichomes. always worth a try. but I still think a nuclear option of a permethrin is the best route. If their numbers get out of hand just burn the plant, toss it into the fire and treat the soil aorund it with some mite killer pesticide as some of the eggs/adults may have fallen down into the ground. Mites are a cunt to deal with, they will travel a bit for a new host and some of them will ignore other plants. I always fine IVY is a big thing for them, they love fucking up a potted ivy plant, If I knew of a bait crop I would have one in my tent all the time as a monitor.
