pH Issues

I have been feeding my plant in Happy Frog soil with water pHed at 6-6.5 for a few weeks now, but the runoff tests closer to 7+. Should I used water closer to 5.5-6 next time to get the soil pH lower? I have been fighting lockout and it seems to not be solved quite yet.

Becareful of trying to even out pH ... Each whole number away from 7 is 10x more powerful acid/base. it is not a linear scale, it is logrithmic. But, yes, add a bit more acidic irrigation/fertigation to try to bring the pH down. I think this is partly a result of a poor ratio of nutes fed over a long period of time. Your plant has looked rough from the start -- possibly the soil? possibly your fertilization methods? not enough infor to know. if you've been giving water-only and getting runoff for any period of time, good chance you've reduced concentration in the soil. Use a different ratio of nutes going forward. start with a 1-1-2 with 'hydro/soilless' nutes or 2-1-2 ratio with soil nutes

Just water at 6.0ph every time until it coms down to 7ph soil. Dont do drastic ph changes. Try to keep it consistant and only chage the ph 0.2 each watering until you get to the desired ph level. Then keep it at a consistant ph from then on. If you water 6.0ph and you still get 7ph run off, the soil is probably where it wants to be. Feed some recharge and Humb9lt sweet and sticky to keep tje microbes happy.

To alter soils PH best to mix in a sulphur based additive that will lower its PH. or a lime based one to rase it.

Your plants try to absorb magnesium this is how the lowest set of leaves look like. A ph of 7 is alright in soil, don’t go too acidic otherwise she wont be able to absorb what she seems to want. Other than that it would be ok to go tiny steps over or under to steer PH a bit. Here is a chart for you to work with in soil https://images.app.goo.gl/Q6s8v3v72ixywHQY8 Do you feed extra calcium magnesium? Would highly recommend everyone using LED
