same way as any other plant.
water until the pot is fully saturated. Wait for top layer to dry, Repeat. How much dryback is a variable of choice, but early on i suggest a little more dry up top before repeating. This makes the roots search for moisture more and grow more robust. You can irrigate sooner later on and reap benefits of that extra root mass. Plus, healthier rootzone with fewer elevated risks when you have a good wet-dry cycle.
you don't choose the volume to give... how much dryback you allow and how the soil is constituted dictates how much water you need to give. don't arbitrarly tell yourself, "i'm gonna give 500mL/day.." that's the wrong way to do it.
overfeeding is overfeeding. an auto might be slightly more sensitive only because it's heading into flower within 2-3 weeks of germination. Just as photoperiods are a bit pickier as they enter flower, so are autos.
in a soilless/hydro context you feed them the same concentration as a photoperiod. Soil is more complex with slow-release ingredients and ingredients that require microbes to break molecules down before they can even enter the plant.
go check out guides at cocoforcannabis.com. The least amount of bro-science and urban myth compared to any other marijuana site that i've found. Also the dr photon forum posts are good. Avoid user-submitted information, lol. bunch of anecdotal stuff with no verification.
