if it is consistent, that means your buds are at equilibrium in a 60% rh environment - which is the goal. As much moisture is gassing off as is condensing on the plant material = equilibrium. so, you don't have to open it up, but if you want to avoid brown weed / anaerobic bacterial growth, you still want to open it up maybe 1/week. It's a damned if you do or don't context. O2 hastens degredation of weed, but brown weed tastes like shit, lol. If you notice any unsual smell starting, open it a bit more frequently. Vacuum sealing and those contraptions that allow you to fill the empty space in containers with N2 while replacing 'air' are ways to avoid burping. because it was mentioned below, if you get any odd smells, it's probably becaue it was put into a container too soon and grew some weird shit - visible or not to the naked eye. let it dry a bit longer if that is happening. light and o2 degrade weed over time. I find burping once a week is fine for weed you intend to use within 1 year. still potent and tasty after 12 months. longer-term you probably want to look into vacuum sealing it after it is properly dried.. wet vacuum sealed would be bad, lol.

burping is more for fresh air o2 then it is to release RH. The drying process should have stabilized the moisture content mostly then the cure does the other bits in a more controled enviroment.

So litterly you burp to releash moister, but also to provide oxygen for the microorganisms to break down chlorophyl. Negativ side of burping is, you releash everytime your terpenes. I would burp in the First 2 weeks if your moister is on point only for a couple of seconds to Exchange the air. Best indicator is your nose, when chlorophyl breaks down it give a smell, if you only smell your great terps when opening the jar without that overriding amonyak smell than you don‘t need to burp further

Hello- It depends on your open/close schedule. I liked 24 hours open 24 hours closed (do this pattern for a week). Then 12 hours open 12 hours closed (do this for a week). Then 6 hours open and 18 hours closed (for another week). After this point you can wait for the RH% (in my opinion). But the jars are annoying and your process depends on your dry and environment.
