Strange slim in roots - Hydroponic

I found mucus on the roots of some of my plants. One brown-colored slime. And the other plant is white. A week before, I added bacteria, but I'm not sure if it's because of them, since other plants don't have mucus. But they look absolutely healthy. What's it?

Hey, so. If you've added bacteria. Water temps need to be stable at around 19-20 been optimal. I would advise if you aren't getting good active bacteria in your tank, then just use H202 (note when using h202, it destroys organic matter such as bacteria giving you a sterile solution) So, synthetic nutrients work best with it. If your water smells foul. Like pond scum, there is either something off in your mix or bad bac.. Growing DWC with bacteria can be tricky. Also you need to be changing the water every week

touch and smell, if it feels or smells off. likely something growing that should not be in there. I've also heard great things about hydroguard. I do ot grow DWC at all so wait for some other hydro heads to chime in and see what they susgest. Also maybe reach out to whoever makes root wizzard and see what they say. I know some products can discolour the roots making it appear it is sick when they are not.

Also, some will suggest peroxide. Peroxide is a good bandaid solution but it's only effective for about 24 hours before it degrades into plain water. If you go that route you need to add it daily.

It's very early signs of pythium, aka root rot. You'll see signs of it affecting your plants before too long. The main things that contribute to root rot are: 1. light leaks in your rez, 2. Warm temps in your rez, 3. not enough oxygen/agitation in your solution. Some beneficial bacteria help too. I'm not familiar with Root Wizard but I use a product called Hydroguard that works well for it.
