Most efficient method of cloning for maximizing total number of clones

I've seen people let a plant get a foot tall and chop her in half, and root the top portion. I start taking every third branch, after four nodes. Is there a proven "this is the best way"? I have 60-75% success using water and powder

If it works for you then keep doing it. I also use a glass of water with some rooting hormone 0.1% IBA, I gently exfoliate the stalk a bit and place them in a white bag to diffuse the light. After a week or so into dirt and they make roots. I get about a 80% root rate, Its not the best method but it works. Cloning trays are nice but expensive. depends how often you plan on doing it. make the choice on whats right for your needs. Taking cuts from lower in the plant tend to root better from what I have read, You can also just top plants and not clone the tips you remove. useing HST and LST to train them into their ideal shape for the enviroment is key.

That should work well. And you can flower the top portion after growing out and keep the bottom with the taproot as a mom. As long as you have the space you could have a ton. If you really need a bunch then you could have several moms. There is no best way. Whatever works best for your situation, and the plant. I have nearly 100 percent success with Clonex and rapid rooter plugs. but if doing a bunch. Seems to take about a month on average for me to get them to room in just water you can do that it will be much cheaper maybe do some with clonex gel to make sure you have some backups. then you dont have to but rockwool or plus you can just plant into soil or put into hyro setup
