I discovered on the bottom of the leaves spider mites today. Plants are in flowering end of week 4. I grow indoor. Neem Oil is a bit of risk because of the flowers. Any recommendations please how to take care of this issue? Is elevating humidity and reducing temperature helps?

Unfortunately, if you have spider mites there's one way to get rid of it. Kill them all. I hate to say it, but I've never seen somebody successfully remove all spider mites. Once the complete grow room is no longer living, everything needs to be either sanitized or bleached filters, fans, pots, everything I've never seen. Even a expert grower come back from spider mites. My two cents. I hope helps

I would not spray anything on flowering plants, no matter how safe the spray claims to be. Neem oil is banned in my country for use on any crops intended for human consumption, so I would not be smoking the stuff! Anything you use will take 2 weeks to work, then with a 2 week witholding period.............thats 4 weeks..........probably about the same time until harvest. At this stage, you might be just as effective wiping the leaves with a damp cloth to remove as many mites as possible, perhaps even wiping the leaves daily. This will at least reduce their numbers to a point where damage will be minimal. The other alternative is to do nothing...........I have seen buds absolutely wrapped in webs, but once harvested and dried, still smoked up well. Mites will suck the sap from the leaves but leave the buds alone..........it looks ugly, but the leaves get removed anyhow. The mites will remove any webs on the buds themselves, there is no need to do so yourself.

also do not spray neem on a flowering plant. it will taste like neem and the stuff is toxic. There is no easy way to deal with them that will not have some sort of setback. its minimizing your risk in the end.

Spider Mites, no easy way to get rid of them in flower. Their are said to be some pesticides that are "safe" in flower as they break down and evaporate away after 2 weeks but I am skeptical of these claims and their safety for things we consume. You can use predator insects to go in and get them. but they also might get stuck in the resin heads. But it is a much safer option. I'd also recommend bud washing to help remove any extra bodies. You will be smoking bodies 100% if you smoke it after a dry and cure, only way to not do that is by turning it into a concentrate and filtering them out. Like hash or infusing it into butter then filtering it. With hash you can use different grades or microns of screens that would allow the trichomes to fall thought and not the bodies of the mites. Side note on pesticides. the two dot spider mite is growing resistant to a lot of them. the ones extracted from daisy's "Pyrethrum" work well, they also have a synthetic version of this compound as well.

But Neem oil to fight the pests, and you shall not have to humid in ur tent or to hot! Max 55% rh and 24 degrees to ensure no harm or to reduce the risk of pests. Good luck to get rid of them 😃

I think predatory insects or if you have the ability to flood your grow space with CO2 for a day so that would also help.

More humidity and lower temps could cause condenstion/mold. I would use water only and try to rinse them off, and you could get some lady bugs that will eat them.
