Yeah. The CCT (red vs blue etc) of light does have a measurable impact but it's tiny. I have half my room under 2900K and half under 3300k. This will not turn a lanky plant bushy nor a bushy plant lanky. It will have tiny effects on each and everything between. I still can't tell any difference. I position plants based on height and the 2" slant in my platform. The lanky plants come out lanky no matter what light is above them. Just because there is a statistically significant difference doesn't mean it is a big difference. DLI is far more important to the outcome than cool ( more blue) vs warm (more red) light. Most growlights are white light.. even the 2900k is technically 'white' light. It's better than blurple or red only for sure.

I find using more white lights in flower help produce dense bulk nugs. One of the first grows I used 6500K lights from seed to harvest and it was banging. The spectrum of the light has some barring on it, but the most important part of it all is how much light your giving it. Look up something called DLI, its a term used to describe the amount of light in a given time period. as an example my lights give me a DLI of 37 when they are ran at these levels. They are a bit to strong for my grow space over all but I make them work. Flower: 11/12 on/off at 60% dim with 30" Hang Height Vegetative : 16/18 on/off at 40% dim with 30" Hang Height As long as they getting the light they will do well, plus blue white LEDS are the most efficient out of all the other colours atm.

You can grow under any light, its all about final results. I grew under white quantum boards , all was okeish. But when same manufacturer added reds diods from Osram to Samsung whites, harvest quality and quantity increased. Full spectrum and lights with veg and flower modes gives you better results, but you still can jazz out your situation, especially if you provide enough of PAR.

High BirthdayBoy, Yes you can but there is a reason people use flowering lights. The results will be a lot better with a red light during the flowering phase instead of the blue light that you usually use during the growing phase. So short answer would be, Yes but not recommended. Happy Growing Buddy! 💚

You can use that light, but you will have way better results when using an LED with infrared and ultraviolet light spectrums. The blue light of the HID is very good for vegetative stage and for bushy, compact plant growth, but in flower it is better to have more colours in the red light spectrum for optimal flower production. Having blue light in flower can cause your plants to become too bushy / compact as well. Good luck!
