Hi guys this autos are on week 6 of flower do you think I can take almost all of the leaves? Also do you think they still need much more time to harvest? They are on day 67 since sprout... First grow here.

Why would you take leavse off? Read 'to defoliate or not...' on coco for cannabis.com. Blind/mass defoliation is retarded with no benefits to the plant - only negative impacts. Pistils look long, so that means the calyxes have a lot more plump to go before you think about harvesting. Once they fully plump, you still have 10-14 days or so of ripening. At that point, start observing trichomes... how muh amber do you prefer? personal preference at that point. and again, don't remove leaves without very good, specific reasons. Avoiding condensation is a good reason. Getting light to lower bud sites is not a good reason. Proper airflow and not overcrowding will take care of light-penetration concerns. The products of photosynthesis freely flow around theplant and apical dominance determines where it is used more than where it hits the plant. When sugars are used it creates a concentration gradient in the vascular tissue and more sugar will flow toward that lower concentration. Apical dmoinance is what determines growth rate.

NO. All those wonderful healthy, green leaves are providing ALL of the energy your plant needs to grow their flowers. Just remember.......... Less leaves = less energy being made = LESS potential growth. Defoliation is not a necessary "technique" when growing cannabis, it should only be done if controlling extremely high humidity is a major issue. Defoliation at this stage will just cause your plants to grow more slowly and reduce your final yields. Buds do not need direct access to light to grow, just like how fruit does not only grow on the sunny side of trees! You still have 2 maybe 3 weeks to go..........once there are 95-98% brown pistils/hairs, you will be entering the harvest zone. Post this question again in 10-14 days time for an update.

I wouldn’t defoliate anything at this point unless you’re having airflow/humidity issues. You’re pretty much past the time when some would defoliate/lollipop. Aside from that, those leaves are fueling your plant. They take in the light and make energy to make those buds grow. They also are nutrient reserves and can help the plant if it’s in need of something

I personally do not like doing any major defoliation after week 3 of flower. The first few weeks of flower are what I consider a transition period, they can handle more stress with less consequences during this period. You're now in full bloom so limiting stress is important IMO. After week 3 I will still remove leaves but not as many at once, just a few here and there and only if needed for air flow. I also only remove leaves that will be beneficial to remove. Before I cut a leaf off, I'll move it by hand and see how much more light hits the plant and if it doesn't really help with light penetration then I won't cut it off. Being you're in week 6, if you're having humidity and air flow issues then I would defoliate some for mold prevention. If humidity and air flow are good and you only want to defoliate for light penetration, then I would remove smaller amounts of leaves and wait for plant to recover to remove more. Just be strategic in cutting your leaves off, make sure it's worth cutting it off before doing so like I mentioned before. Clean your scissors with isopropyl alcohol before cutting, also before moving to another plant.

Hey Buddy, for your next grow, I would suggest removing the lower bud sites, they are small and get not much light. On the Main question: I would take at least 50-60% of the Fan leaves to assure good light penetration, Airflow and better yield. Also, from the pictures, the flowers could use 2-3 more weeks to fully ripen up. A Tricome check is always recommended.

Hey there great looking plants Make sure to keep the top 2 ir 3 sets of fan leaves on every branch After that go crazy on the mid section cutting it all away. I wilould suggest keeping some the lower fan leaves that are down bellow all your buds the ones that will not block any light. They will start getting light when the mid section is opened up. Make sure not to cut more than 30 to 4o% off all fan leaves at 1 time. The plant has energy alocated for each leaf when u cut leaves off it has to fig out where to get that energy from and will cause stress if you cut 2many at 1 time it can cause growth to stunt. I'd cut about hakf of what you plant and then wait 4 to 7 days and cut the rest
