Don't overreact, that's for sure. Much easier to add than to take away. just top dress (assume that's the norm?) and water in as normal. A little early 1 time on an irrigation won't kill it. if the plant is maintaining its health, maybe the 30% castings are enough? Could still irrigate slightly early but also give 'enough' dryback that it's no risk. i wouldn't worry too much. This won't be a major setback even if not optimal.

Just do both, add your amendments into your water some hours before watering, then put the remaining solids as topdressing! :)
