When pressing rosin, **bubble hash** is generally preferred over dry sift hash due to its higher purity and yield. Bubble hash, produced through ice water extraction, effectively isolates trichome heads, resulting in a cleaner product with fewer contaminants. This purity translates to better rosin quality and higher extraction efficiency. **Equipment for Making Bubble Hash:** To produce high-quality bubble hash, consider the following tools and machines: **Bubble Hash Washing Machines** Devices like The Original Resinator streamline the ice water extraction process, providing consistent agitation and efficient trichome separation. **Bubble Bags** A set of fine mesh bags with varying micron sizes is essential for filtering plant material and collecting trichomes during the extraction process. Brands like BubbleBagDude offer comprehensive kits suitable for different batch sizes. **Hash Washing Paddles** Food-grade paddles are used to gently agitate the cannabis material in ice water, aiding in the separation of trichomes without damaging them. **Freeze Dryers** After extraction, promptly drying your bubble hash is crucial to preserve its quality. Freeze dryers, such as those from Harvest Right, are effective in removing moisture without degrading the product.

Dry sif, especially heavy overdried, grinded will have bigger extraction only from impurities, small parts of green will be with heads, hash will end up sandy, wont stick. Best hash is from wet trim - FACT. I would say all filters is too much for home grower. Despite me loving 50 micron mesh hash most ( most oily and tasteful) - i still use only 3 filters. 220 to clean main shit 180 to catch some mistakes or other bits And i use only 25 microns to collect all bubble in one place. Washing machine and bags are best buy, dont save now, buy it, in long term it will repay you in easiness of doing and longlivity ... Full mesh bags are way easier to wash out with alcohol too ( eventually they clogg up, so you have to wash out ). Do not buy cheap only at bottom mesh bags, they will last 10 times and will start to peal off plastic bits to your material ....

Also if you make bubble hash there is no point to press it into rosin. After you let the wet tricombs dry out then you just need a wine bottle with hot water in it and some plastic bag. Put the stuff you collect from the hash bags in between 2 bags and roll the wine bottle with hot water in it over and over. Eventually it will turn into a temple ball. Also not every strain is good at making water hash the more oily the buds the less return you get some buds you will get more out of them but drying them out and grinding them and getting dry sift

I should add never wash longer than 30 min and for each filtering session change to fresh cold water and fresh ice. Crushed ice works better. Chunky stuff can bash material too much ... I filter in 3 waves, sometimes i am lazy to do 3rd, its ussually smallest from all ...

There is plenty of rules how to do good bubble. One of them is not to put all bags into each other, use each lair separately, way easier and less messy to extract. Buy full mesh bags, not only bottom covering ones. Freeze your trim for not less than 3 , not more than 14 days. Longer keep plays with smells and quality. With shorter freeze ; your extraction rate will be lower ... Buy cheap portable washing machine on alibaba for 50 $ , will help you a lot. Just change out pipe. m.youtube.com/watch This guy is god of hash. Check his channel.

If you want to learn how to make bubble hash, watch the videos Frenchy Cannoli. He explains everything much better than anyone can put into a comment here.

You can make bubble hash easy with just 2 5 gallon buckets a broomstick and bubble hash bag kit. Make sure to have super cold water and ice ready. Put plant matter in bags with ic and water mix throughly but not super rough take out each bag collecting the hash on each bag. When you get down to the last bag pour all the liquid they that bag will be easier than trying to pull the bag up out of the stuff. You don’t need any machines i swear it’s the easiest thing ever Make sure to freeze your plant matter as well soon as you harvest I like to wet trim my buds at harvest and put trim directly in freezer and use that to make water hash

forgot... the 'cut-down rims' need a little bit of bucket leftover so it can nest inside each other and the full bucket holding sieve mesh bags and ~5 gallons of water and hash drainage. if you overlap the rim and pull down in the right way, it'll form a suction on the sides and that's what creates a taut, concave surface to easilyl scrape off the rosin... use a spray bottle or a garden hose sprayer to get all the hash down to center for an easy scoop. can also spray down the plant material in the mini washer at various points to get a littlemore hash in that cycle to run out. I do this on first run and then on last run. Your first run is always largest quantity and highest quality. If done right, the quality should not be vastly different but the last few cycle's output you may want to segregate. If you ever see green in bubble hash, you are doing it wrong. soak longer or be more gentle with the plant material. the ice only provides cold temperatures and should not beat up the plant material. Look for the "Frenchy" bubble hash video on youtube... the one where he's in a warehouse with a large custom aluminum bin and a cheap, blue RV mini washer. It's 1.5-2 hours long but it covers everything important and even a bit too anal in some cases.

pressing hash is an option. If that's what you are going to do with it, it may not matter much whether you dry sift or do ice-water hash. Rosin is more potent but is not as full flavored, imo. it still tastes wonderful but you lose a bit of the flowery-earthiness -- the good kind not the dirt-flavor kind. If you see chlorophyl conatimination in your rosin, might want to go with bubble hash or just press flower.. just takes more presses to get the job done but way less time and effort. Bet the differences while measureable are imperceptible. More likely to draw in wider range of flavors pressing the flower too. it's not just thc that is important. Bubble hash. this mini washing machines - like for an RV or people that travel a ton and need one in a hotel room. You do not need to buy the marijuana branded mini washing machines at 2-3x the price. Just look for one that is simple - i.e. no lint trap and no or few crevices in the tub that ccould collect or damage plant material spinning around. If plant materia is damaged, it contaminates your hash and you end up with green hash and slightly less optimal smoking quality. That device will spin the water for you and allow you to multi-task in a way that cuts time-invested by nearl 1/2. Use 2 batches of ice-cold water so that you can scrape your seive bags while 'next' wash cycle runs. A couple 5 gallon buckets is also needed. Cutting down some cheaper 3-gallon buckets to their rims makes for a great way to layer your sieve bags, easily scrape them, and remove them to get to next layer. If you pull the sieve bags up and over the rim it'll eventually tighten into a nice concave shape with some tension. Easy to scrape out at that point in one or two scoops bubble hash is better than sifted hash, imo, but takes longer to do. Dry ice sifting is fast but you get a ton of chlorophyl contamination (green hash) which lowers quality. I've never liked what comes out under the large mesh screen in a grinder -- that shit tastes like lumber to me.
