basic plant training - as necessary. if bending the entire plant over, all that matters is doing it before it becomes rigid and prone to breaking instead of bending. It's smart to work backward from a rough number of colas you want in your space.. 2.5-3 colas per sq ft is all you need. Armed with that information you can make a smart decision on when to bend the plant over and systematically work toward that goal with the least amount of wasted vegetative growth. Any branch facing down should be pruned. Any branch below the bend should be pruned. Do anchor the bas in the opposite direction of the bend to reduce stress on roots. training means a lot of things. simply bending or shaping 1 branch is LST. you'll mix in some of that too to spread things out. more branches does not = more yield. Light (dli), available co2, and area of grow dictates yield potential. Anything more than 3 colas per sq ft isn't going to do anything but crowd the colas and increase risks of various issues. more branches just means more popcorn buds after a certain point and greater competition for light causing excess stretching.

The optimal time to start lst is during its vegetative stage, specifically when the plant has developed about 6 leaf nodes. At this stage, the stems are still young and flexible, making them easier to bend without breaking.

You can start LST as soon as side branches appear if the plant is healthy, but waiting until the third internode is safer. At this stage, the stem is stronger, roots are established, and recovery is quicker. If starting early, bend gently and use soft ties to avoid damage. Hope this helps Growmie

Lst a very loose term which could mean a lot of similar things. Soon as branches are about 1.5 to 2in long you can start flexing them just a little. Just push them downwards a few times they will flew a bit and then if done right they will not bounce back up to original position. By the next day plant will look just the same but every time you bend the branches down they get stronger. If you’re interested in tying branches down I would do what I said b4 about forcing the branches down a few times b4 you start tying them down. I don’t like tying down mine i like flexing the branches every other day it makes them super strong and thick
