Tri leaf mutation. More often than not it will grow out of it. A few will continue that growth pattern.
Might be beneficial if it's a plant that is difficult to branch out? More of a novelty than anything bad or good. I'm not sure i've grown a plant i said -- "i sure which it had more branches," lol, usually there are more than you need as opposed to the opposite.
Not sure if it's my small sample size error or others, but these plants usually grow just fine for me. The ones i've seen have only grown like that for a few nodes then grow normally with 2 branches per node (while still having symmetrical growth early on)
You may want to back off on that light temporarily. looks a bit tight.
