Some plants keep pushing out pistils till the end, it's a genetic trait and not anything to worry about. Chop it now or let it go another week or two if you want a bit heavier effect, yield won't be much higher if you wait. When you look at the trichomes' ripeness by color, do not look at sugar leaves, the trichomes there are always way more mature than the trichomes on the calyxes

Ignore those then, if other BUDS, not leaves on that plant are ready, the plant is ready. Some plants genetically never stop too push new pistills, then you just have to ignore the new generation

I would agree to trust the trichomes, as they are your number 1 identifying source of maturity. Once they start turning amber on the bud, not the leaf, it’s pretty much done. Some variety’s like to foxtail or send out a second burst of growth just trying to get themselves pollinated before dying. It’s something most growers don’t like. Some do. I’d look closely at the trichomes in the bud area, you’re not going to smoke the leaf. And see what it looks like.

Since it is a photoperiod plant, I guess you are at 12/12, because you have very little info in your diary, if you are worried about the new white pistils, going to 11/13 can cause the plant to stop making new pistils and get it to finally finish.

genetics or maybe some heat/light stress.. impossible to know for sure which. i ignore new waves of pistil growth. I want a consitently ripe plant, the new growth just fucks that up. Each to their own though.. if it is significant enough, the additional yield may be worth it. Context matters. But, i'd focus on trichomes present on the older more ripened growth that is the bulk.

Trust the Trichomes. She's finished. A teenie on the over-ripe side, which might not be bad.
