Fertilizer Advice

Looking to change my fertilizer system. I grow in a fortified peat mix soil and the 2 previous grows I used the Fox farms fertilizer system which was a pain to mix the various components. I would welcome advice for a more simplified system of feeding that is consistently proven.

Gotta use something that works for you and finding it can be a pain. For me dry amendments are a nice option. I like the fact I mix it in and can forget it. just water, don't really even need to PH it if I mix in other things to alter the soils PH. It can be complated and if things go off can be harder to recover. Its a living soil so things need to be in check. Like numbers said going soilless can also be good. For me I don't like mixing it all up and thinking about runoff. However if you have an automatic watering system and shits connected to a drain, its a great thing. Mix up the res and bobs your uncle. You control all aspects so if something goes sideways its easier to troubleshoot. Not all fertilizers are created equally. some are lesser, most of the good ones will have buffers in them to prevent PH from drifting.

I failed to mention the quality of organically fed herb is supirior. They say go can get the same results in coco as you can in soil. That's what I wanted to confirm for myself.

Do you want quality or quantity.Coco with mineral food will bring slightly bigger yields than organically fed soil but done right and there isn't a lot in it.Iv been doing them side by side for a few years and gone fully organic for the first time.Im still compoaring as I have 4 in soil and the rest in coco.Which ever way you go you can't beat advanced nutrients.Their organic iguana juice grow your plants almost as big as their ph perfect sensi grow coco. The majority of others may mean you get 30% less.

go soilless. doesn't matter too much whether you use sphagnum peat moss or coco as the base. 50% perlite or similar in peat moss and 33% in coco. i definitely prefer dry nutes. It's a little more effort to dissolve it, but you can do this ahead of time or make some 100:1 concentration then just do 10mL per liter etc. Which again, you can dissolve well ahead of time. you know and control exactly what the plant gets. there's no unknowns of soil and slow release amendments over time. Can do the same routine each grow, if you have a good formula. Anything similar to jacks 3-2-1 ratios (%of mass of each product weighted by dose) is going to be a good starting point. Brand is really irrelevant.

In my opinion fox farm is 1 of the best out there. If you want easy use grow dots and recharge. Good luck.
