Cloning is a copy. So this is something you caused if it was not how it grew on the original.
looks overfed, for sure. When it doesn't progress from 3-5-7-9+ fingers, something is off in the nutrient balance.

Plants often throw out strange leaves like this during reveg and sometimes flowering.
In '99/2000 I had a whole plant only have 3 fingered leaves in soil right next to one that got 11 fingers.
So the answer is, a bit of both.
The most important part is that it's nothing to worry about, although as 001101010101 said, it looks a bit overfed.
