How much risk are you willing to accept when you discover a hermie?

I picked off the plant on the right what appeared to my worn out eyes to be three little balls. Three singular balls, different locations lower on the branch. If it were you, would you risk it or remove it? Plant on right is Durban Poison, on left is Euphoria Skunk.

Roll the dice! Sometimes the seeds become solid females. If there a few nanners, simply pinch them off. Often the female grows normally. If you're really concerned chop it.

Depends on the severity. I have had a hermi that is completely out of control. And another that only showed 2 small sacks. How far along is a factor. How much work is it going to be picking sacks off the plant. Who is smoking the plant, if it’s you. It’s your risk. Do you mind picking bits of seed. Alternatively the whole plant only produces 1 seed. Most hermi’s are mostly sterile, meaning pollen is not 100% anyway. Might be 10% active then good . Alternatively might be 90% active =bad

I think pictures of the things you pluck off would be ideal vs a description. Sacks are connected by a small stem and tend to be coco pod shaped. they should not have any pistil coming out of them or be covered in any trichomes. Some times they can be confused for female calyx as they swell and get big. but they also have a pistil coming out of them norally.

I’m a risk taker so I’d just do my best to cut off its balls whenever I saw any. I’ve actually recently done this myself. The balls did come back and I repeated. I got lucky and there’s no seeds or anything, but that’s just my experience. It’s all about how risky you’re feelin :)

It really depends on the circumstances. If something pops up late into flower or if you can isolate it then go for it. Something is better than nothing. If you don't want to pick thru seeds you can always use for edibles or hash. In a mixed tent I'd be worried unless it's a pretty small plant. When things get crowded it's hard to check everywhere for more balls.

pollen sacs are worrisome. Even if you put a lot of effort searching for them, chances are you will miss one. If you've only found 3 or 4, there still might be one lurking. If they are few and far between i might risk it. If I keep finding more and of different development/ripeness, that tells me it's not a 1-off event and its popping them over time continuously. In that case i'm more likely to remove it. If you caused it with stress, then removed that stress, plucking and praying has a chance, lol. nanners.. recently had a plant pop a ton of them all on lower growth. I removed that plant, but in hindsight i should have left it. Think i had some light pollution because another plant had a similar issue, but i just pruned off the useless lower growth and didn't have a problem after that. Nanners don't often have much pollen, and if it does, there's a good chance it is inviable. Even so, you won't get many seed from nanners. They won't ruin anything.

Entfernen, wenn sich ein Pollen Sack öffnet und du mehr Pflanze hast werden sie alle besamt. Der Pollen kann auch im Zelt bleiben und zukünftig Pflanze besamen. Also weg mit dem :)

If I caught them early enough, I would risk it (especially if it is a crop I am looking forward to). In my experience intersex flowers can by brought out by stress (widely varied impetuses from proximity to a male plant, contact with chemical agents, DLI delivery, and so on) and will quickly show if they produce pollen that seems viable or not (but you caught it earlier than that). One thing to note though is that intersex flowers are not equivalent to hermies. I'd set a hard line that you won't accept (such as checking every other day for more intersex flowers, and if you see X more then you'll cull her) and proceed.👽
