Raising RH%

I need help getting my RH% up. I’ve been keeping temps between 72F and 80F. RH% bounces between 11% to right now it has stayed at 38% for the past 3 hours. I tried a Vicks warm vaporizer and that didn’t do shit. Caused more heat and lower RH. HELP! TIA.

A lot of people spend way more time, money, and effort chasing the dragon of "perfect environmentals" than is really necessary. For the most part, if it's comfortable enough for you then it's comfortable enough for your plants. In my veg area it's typically in the low to mid 70s with humidity around 30% unless it's raining. I run at 24 hour light as well. Guess what? Absolutely no dramatic catastrophic occurances, regardless of what you typically read around here. Not even in my mother plant that's been sitting there for months lol. If you are gonna get a humidifier, cool mist ones are better than the warm ones. In a really big space a fog machine would probably be more effective. That's what we use for the propagation room at work.

So your ranging from 25-62%RH in your images. that's a big jump. My apparent in the winter gets to around 33% on the regular and in the summer its 80% with our humid weather here. You can boost humidity by use of a humidifier or a towel soaking into a pot filled with water and a fan pointed on it for a cheep option. However as soon as you vent that air, its going to be dry again. So best to treat the air in the room the tent pulls air in from. Domes can also help but don't cover it fully as that is not great.

Hello, first I would try to adjust as much as possible. Use the mobile app Photone to set your light to the right height and then the right intensity. The small ones don't need that much PPFD yet, a maximum of 200 to 300 u/mol. Later you can set it higher again. Then, while they are small, The lamp is a source of heat and dries the air. So it is better to dim it a little more. Put a transparent plastic cup or the bottom of a bottle over the small ones so that the humidity is maintained. When they get bigger and there is more green and you have to water them more often, the problem will solve itself and the humidity will automatically increase. Finally, try to keep the temperature at 22 degrees Celsius. Good luck

NEVER grow at 24/0.........ALL cannabis plants, autos included need a "sleep" period every 24 hour cycle..........18/6 is optiimal. Without a "sleep" period every day, cannabis will not have a correctly functioning metabolism and a plant with an incorrectly functioning metabolism will never achieve its full potential. By running your lights non stop, everything is hot and a hot tent = low humidity. Also, DO NOT place cups/humidity domes over your seedlings, it is 100% not needed, they need good air exchange and air movement for proper development. "Humidity domes" just promote weak seedlings, increase the risk of fungal diseases and pose a risk of cooking your seedlings. Only clones/cuttings need a high humidity environment while they are waiting to form roots. The notion about high humidity and cannabis is an outdated notion from the 1960s when no one knew anything much about growing pot and thought cannabis was some sort of exotic rainforest plant. The towel in a bowl may help your situation, but for now, go to 18/6 and wait a couple of weeks for the plants to grow a bit more and I am sure your humidity problems will be lessened. In the meantime, low humidity for a couple of weeks while they are seedling is not going to harm them adversely. Cannabis is a remarkable and resilient plant that has thrived for Millenia unaided outdoors in every weather condition known to Man, it is not a dainty fern that needs Princess Perfect conditions in order to survive!

It sounds like you're having trouble getting your humidity up in your space. Here are some tips to help raise your RH% without causing more heat: 1. **Place Water Basins Around the Room:** A simple trick is to place bowls of water around the room. As the water evaporates, it will increase the humidity. Make sure the room isn’t too warm, though, as high temps can cause rapid evaporation and make things worse. 2. **Humidity Absorbers (Use with Caution):** If you’ve been using moisture absorbers like silica gel or similar products, consider temporarily removing them, as they can actively reduce humidity. 3. **Increase Airflow:** Sometimes, stagnant air can lower the effectiveness of humidity-raising methods. Try circulating the air with a fan to allow moisture to spread evenly throughout the room. 4. **Wet Towels or Cloths:** Drape wet towels or cloths over chairs, racks, or hang them up in your room. As they dry, they will release moisture into the air. 5. **Monitor Your Room's Size:** If your space is large, try placing a few different methods in different areas. A small humidifier may struggle to cover an entire room, so multiple units or a larger one can help stabilize the RH. 6. **Close Windows and Doors:** If the air outside is dry, make sure windows and doors are sealed to keep the moisture in. If the outside air is more humid, open the windows during higher RH hours. 7. **Consider a Hygrometer with Logging Functionality:** This will give you more accurate, long-term insights into your RH changes, so you can tweak your methods accordingly. By combining a few of these strategies, you should be able to stabilize and raise the RH% in your space. Let me know if you need more tips!

One way to do it is to get some wet towels and hang them up in your grow space or like a tray of water with a lot of surface area but honestly If your humidity is that low it may not be enough you may have to fork over some dough and get a bangin humidifier, remember it’s an investment it will pay off in the end. Message me I’ll send you a link for good cheap humidifiers that you’ll want. A humidifier is gonna be vastly more consistent than any other method.

you need a humidifier, bud. there's no magic way to do it effectively enough... the little home remedies might add 5% to ambient. Bigger the room, bigger the humidifier needed. ones that use a wick cost a bit more to operate over time, but also don't leave white dust any everything. they potentially can spread as much mold, but less bacteria, if not maintained properly good news is as those plants grow, they will help add moisture during light outs - it'll drop at night as stomata close.

Hi bud. It‘ll cost some creativity on your behalf but it works like a charm. Fill a bowl with water and hang a towel into it. The towel functions as a wick. With good airflow you’ll see the rh raise a bit. Also, reduce light intensity or the exhaust fan will get you a few points as well if you can spare either. Hope this helps, even just a little.
