I usually do this towards the end of the 3rd week. But I use 2 nets, one to spread the branches apart and the 2nd to create an even surface and support the headbuds. In the first 1-2 weeks, I keep weaving the branches under the net until the plant is wide enough for me. Depending on the growth height of the strain, I place the 2nd net 20-40 cm higher as soon as everything has grown enough through the 1st net, and I thread everything that is long enough through the 2nd net to support it. Especially towards the end of the flowering stage, when you’re flushing and the plants are getting less water, otherwise the buds might break off.

When it reaches the scrog net...
Leave enough room to irrigate and all is well. It's wise to work backward from a specific tart of colas per sq ft. Have a plant. Don't over-crowd. It'll help save time and resources while training in an efficient, effective way with the least amount of wasted growth.
with all due respect to mouse, i'd go to cocoforcannabis for their guides and how-to articles over anything here. The least biased and least amount of bro-science i've found.

Hi The SCROG net is usually stretched when the plants are about 15-20 cm tall and in the vegetative stage. It's important that the plants have already developed some nodes so they can be guided through the net. I recommend stretching the net about 45 cm above the pot rim. When they start to stretch, you can keep weaving the shoots back into the net. And as I mentioned in your other question, I would train them a bit beforehand. But if you want to go straight into SCROG, you can do that now.
